9 Character Alignments Explained Using Bravo Housewives
I am currently doing some research for my next book. I was interested in learning more about the 9 character alignments. Before now I had only ever seen them used as a tool to align political candidates. Upon searching online I was surprised to learn that the 9 character alignments are based on the Dungeons and Dragons game. Lucky for me I am married to a huge nerd so I asked my husband to explain these categories to me. My husband is currently really into AI. While I am a little bit more cautious in using it, he is using it for all kinds of projects. When I asked my husband about the 9 character alignments he decided to ask AI to describe them to me using the Bravo Housewives. Below is the content that is so spot on I just had to share!
Alignments in D&D are a mix of order (lawful, neutral, chaotic) and morality (good, neutral, evil) and creating nine categories. Here’s how they translate to the drama-filled world of Housewives:
1. Lawful Good – Kyle Richards (The Responsible Sister)
Definition: Follows the rules, values loyalty, and generally wants to do the right thing, even if they’re not perfect.
Why Kyle? Kyle is all about family, tradition, and being a peacemaker. She sometimes stirs the pot but ultimately believes in structure and doing what’s best for the group. She plays by the rules—until she doesn’t.
2. Neutral Good – Garcelle Beauvais (The Fair Friend)
Definition: Wants to do good but isn’t tied to strict rules; makes moral choices based on the situation.
Why Garcelle? She’s fair, calls people out when necessary, and stays true to herself. She isn’t into unnecessary drama but isn’t afraid to speak up for what’s right.
3. Chaotic Good – Bethenny Frankel (The No-Nonsense Hero)
Definition: Does good but in their own way; not afraid to break the rules to get results.
Why Bethenny? She speaks her mind, exposes frauds, and helps others (like her disaster relief work). She does what she thinks is right, even if it causes chaos.
4. Lawful Neutral – Lisa Vanderpump (The Regal Strategist)
Definition: Follows rules and structure, but personal gain or maintaining order is more important than morality.
Why LVP? She plays the game masterfully, using charm and strategy to maintain her power. She isn’t necessarily good or evil—just always in control.
5. True Neutral – Erika Jayne (The Survivalist)
Definition: Goes with the flow and prioritizes self-interest without strong moral or chaotic tendencies.
Why Erika? She adapts to situations to protect herself. Whether it’s staying silent or playing along, she’s not driven by strict principles—just survival.
6. Chaotic Neutral – Sonja Morgan (The Wild Card)
Definition: Unpredictable, fun-loving, and does what feels right in the moment, whether it’s good or bad.
Why Sonja? She’s all over the place—one moment she’s your best friend, the next she’s causing a scene. Her choices are purely based on vibes.
7. Lawful Evil – Heather Dubrow (The Calculated Queen)
Definition: Uses structure, rules, and power to benefit themselves, even at the expense of others.
Why Heather? She acts refined and “above it all” but wields her influence with precision. She’ll cut you down if it benefits her.
8. Neutral Evil – Jen Shah (The Schemer)
Definition: Prioritizes personal gain above all else, with no concern for law or morality unless it helps them.
Why Jen? She was literally running scams and manipulating people while maintaining a “victim” narrative. She did whatever benefited her, regardless of legality or ethics.
9. Chaotic Evil – Brandi Glanville (The Agent of Chaos)
Definition: Loves destruction, acts impulsively, and doesn’t care about consequences.
Why Brandi? She thrives on chaos—saying whatever she wants, throwing wine, and creating drama just because she feels like it. There’s no strategy, just pure mess.
Fellow Bravo-holics, I am dying to know what you think of AI’s assessment? Also, for anyone wondering my husband also used AI to do an analysis of my blog content and according to AI I am what they call “Neutral Good” or in Bravo terms, Garcelle Beauvais. I am also dying to know if you agree with that? Shoot me a message on social media and let me know!
